Modelling

An old wisdom says:

a picture is worth a thousand words

A modell therfore elucidates much more than a description.

During analysis there is documentation and documents are collected.

In the second step the essence is created: the model.

Like architects create a model or present a show house to the customer, so we create a model which presents the fundamental properties of the software and can be discussed with the client.

In the simplest case the model consist out of graphical diagrams, which we create with modelling tools and/or a prototype for hands-on testing of the programm. Depending on the complexity and the level of difficulty of the problem a simple or complex model will be created. (cost concerns)

Generally we use the standard UML (Unified Modellig Language) to create our modells. This standard clearifies the modell through the easiest common denominator for non-professionals as well as for professionals.

Modelling clearifies structures and thereby achieves an optimal communication between client, special department and development team.
